Dependable, reliable, low-maintenance vehicle

Everything you could hope for in a vehicle. Great city/highway MPG, low-maintenance costs , no breakdowns, comfortable interior, lots of cargo room. Only complaint is windshield wiper performance (I'm in a rainy climate, wiper blades didn't always clear windscreen). Wished that Hyundai had not changed body style so dramatically. This was my second Santa Fe (owned a 2013 Santa Fe Sport before this one) and was very pleased with both.…

This car has been great for the most part. We bought it new back in 2019. 75,000 miles and 7 years later, it still hasn't had any issues. All the money I've put into this car has just been maintenance. I replaced the stock tires at 50K miles, replaced the serpentine belt at 70K miles, and flushed the transmission at 70k miles. I've been really impressed with the reliability in general, it just doesn't have problems. Even my stock battery is going strong and starts well, even below freezing. This is the base model too and I am happy with the tech features even 7 years later. It has lane keep assist, distance-pacing cruise control, and auto hold. A lot of new cars that I rent still don't have those features in their base models.
It does have some cons unfortunately. This things sucks with gas, I do probably 85% highway driving and 26 mpg is about the best I ever get. The cruise control is bad at maintaining speed on steep hills as well. That has been frustrating. People are also not kidding about the paint quality, I have a fair amount of paint chips. Luckily they are small and hard to see but the paint doesn't seem to be of very high quality.
At the end of the day, I am happy with this car. It is aging very well. I'd take those small cns over major maintainence issues any day.…
Does it all well - mostly

We bought our 2020 new. It has the convenience package, upgraded stereo, etc. it’s 2026 now. We’ve only gone 35k miles. The only issue we’ve ever had was the fuel pump went 2 months ago. The dealer replaced it under warranty. It’s very comfortable, roomy. Has the leather seats. Cargo space is great with even more when you fold the 2nd row down.
The engine is a bit noisy and there’s the windy sounds at highway speeds. The only thing it doesn’t have that I would like is a heated steering wheel.
We just put brakes and tires on it.
If you have one of these, keep it! If you’re looking for used, I’d highly recommend one.…
